Last year the Arizona Diamondbacks were inspired to create a first-of-its-kind season ticket scholarship program for fans experiencing an unexpected financial hardship. We are excited to offer this program again this year. Fans can apply through the nomination form below for 2009 season tickets that will be provided free of charge by the Diamondbacks organization. Factors taken into consideration when awarding scholarships include financial need and love of the game of baseball and the D-backs. Self-nominations will be accepted, but should be supported by additional personal references. Please do not send in photos or videos. The team will assess each of the recipients' cases to determine if additional contributions can be provided in the form of concessions, parking or transportation relief.

Nominations must be submitted through the form below. Nominations that are not submitted through this form will not be taken into consideration. All nominations are due by noon 12:00 p.m. MST on December 8, 2008. Recipients will be notified no later than December 15, 2008.

Arizona Diamondbacks Season Ticket Scholarship Program Official Rules

1.	Summary of Program.  Submissions to the Arizona Diamondbacks Season Ticket Scholarship Program ("Program") must be completed via the internet at www.dbacks.com.  Upon submission, the nominator ("Nominator") is unconditionally agreeing to, and accepting, all terms of these Official Rules.  Submissions must be received by December 8, 2008 (the "Submission Deadline").  Eligible submissions will be evaluated by the Arizona Diamondbacks and may be selected for awarding complimentary full season tickets, partial season tickets, and/or additional items for the 2009 Arizona Diamondbacks regular season ("Scholarship").

2.	Eligibility.  The Program is open to all Arizona Diamondbacks fans who are U.S. citizens and at least eighteen (18) year old as of the Submission Deadline, except where prohibited or restricted by law.  All Nominators and nominated recipients must meet these eligibility requirements.

3.	Submission of Nominations.

  a. Submission of a nomination ("Nomination") should demonstrate why a particular person should receive a Scholarship.

  b. Self-nominations will be accepted, but should be supported by additional personal references.

  c. Only eligible Nominations that are not longer than six hundred (600) words and completed via the Internet at www.dbacks.com will be considered for a Scholarship.  Photos, videos, or mailed Nominations will not be accepted.

  d. All Stories must be received by 12:00 p.m. MST. on the Submission Deadline in order to be eligible for evaluation.  Late submissions will not be accepted.  There is no limitation on the number of Nominations that may be submitted by a Nominator or on behalf of a nominated recipient.

  e. The Arizona Diamondbacks will assess each Nomination and may, in its sole and absolute discretion, provide a Scholarship in the form of tickets, concessions, parking and/or transportation.

4.	Assignment of Nominations.  Upon submission, all Nominations shall become the sole property of the Arizona Diamondbacks and will not be returned to the Nominator.  In consideration of, and as a condition to, having a Nomination considered for use in awarding a Scholarship, the Nominator hereby assigns, transfers and conveys, effective upon any Nomination submission, all right, title and interest in and to the Nomination, including all associated copyright and other intellectual property rights.  Nominators will not be paid for submitted Nominations or for the granting of any rights.  By entering the Program, the Nominator warrants and represents that he or she is the sole author and creator of the Nomination, the Nomination is truthful and accurate, the Nomination does not violate any applicable law, and the Nomination does not infringe or violate any intellectual property right held by a third party.

5.	Selection of Nominations.

  a. All Nominations shall be evaluated and selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks in its absolute and sole discretion.

  b. All nominated fans that are demonstrated to have financial need, along with a love for the game and the Arizona Diamondbacks, will be evaluated.

  c. In the event a nominated recipient is selected to receive a Scholarship, the Arizona Diamondbacks will attempt to notify the Nominator and the nominated recipient using the information submitted by the Nominator.

  d. If the Nominator and the nominated recipient are notified, the Nominator and the nominated recipients (and any other party who may utilize the Scholarship) must execute a Waiver and Release before the Scholarship will be awarded.

  e. Scholarships are scheduled to be announced on December 15, 2008.

6.	General Terms and Conditions.

  a.	The Arizona Diamondbacks shall not be responsible for any failed submissions for any reason including without limitation those Nominations that are lost, late, delayed, incomplete, or misdirected.  Further, the Arizona Diamondbacks shall not be responsible for any electronic, network, and server failures or malfunctions or other technical errors of any kind.

  b.	The Arizona Diamondbacks reserve the right to cancel or discontinue the Program for any reason as determined in its absolute and sole discretion.

  c.	VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. ALL UNITED STATES FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL LAWS APPLY.  NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR BE SELECTED.

  d.	The Arizona Diamondbacks reserve the right to amend these Official Rules at any time without notice.  Any changes will be posted online at www.dbacks.com.

  e.	By submitting a Nomination, the Nominator agrees to release, discharge, and hold harmless AZPB Limited Partnership (d.b.a. the "Arizona Diamondbacks"), Major League Baseball, any participating sponsor, and each of their respective partners, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any claim, damages, or liability (including, without limitation, claims based on property damage, personal injury and/or death, publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy) arising from or related to the Program and/or the submission or use of any Nomination.

  f.	If any portion of these Official Rules is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, for any reason, that portion shall be severed from the rest.

  g.	The provisions of these Official Rules shall be construed and enforceable in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona.  By participating in the Program, all Nominators agree that the venue for any dispute or litigation arising from or relating to this Program shall only be in Phoenix, Arizona.
